Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist for our facility in Chester, MD. Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, rotating Saturdays 7:00 am – 10:00 am. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or ≥3 months experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications ≥1 year experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training must come from an accredited agency if in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Work Setting Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. Pay Range $17.75 – $20.00 per hour.
