This contract position supports a maternity leave with opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week, beginning in January and extending through April—and potentially through June. The client prefers onsite candidates but remains open to VOCO arrangements for the right individual.

Qualifications:

• Full school social work certification required—verification needed via the Michigan Online Educator Certification System
• Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student well-being
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral supports, and community resources
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
• Comfortable with both in-person and virtual service delivery

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans
• Collaborate with educators, families, and outside service providers to promote student success
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and IEP processes
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with educational and legal requirements
• Support students transitioning between home, school, and community environments
