Summary About the Position: This is a Project Scheduler, GS-0301-12 position for the US ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICT,TULSA PROGRAMS & PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIVISION, PROJECTCONTROLS OFFICE, LOCATED IN TULSA, OK. Responsibilities Perform duties in support of project management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. Establish a project task listing required to accomplish execution of the project within cost and time limitations. Assist the Project Manager to create and maintain the Project Management Plan for the project that shows the scope, baseline schedule and cost for each activity needed to deliver the completed project to the local sponsor. Prepare a wide variety of project management reports for upward reporting, monthly project status reviews with customers, monthly Project Review Board briefings, Command Management Review data validation, and other project data calls as required. Meet and coordinate with the Project Manager, the Project Delivery Team and the Local Sponsor to collect and disseminate information about the project schedule and project issues needing resolution. Develop, prepare, and present reports, briefings, summaries and fact sheets obtained from other District elements and local sponsors. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: 1) Operating automated information systems to manage scheduling or resources for an organization; AND 2) Analyzing project management scheduling issues as they arise in order to provide recommendations on schedules and/or costs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-12, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
