Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. This role offers hands‑on responsibility across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Position Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close activities, and assisting with inventory tracking. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data using QuickBooks as the primary accounting system.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, payments, and collections
• Prepare and record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
• Track and reconcile supply and inventory activity, working closely with operations as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities
• Support audits and provide financial information as requested
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred not required
• 2+ years of hands‑on accounting experience (AP/AR, GL)
• QuickBooks experience highly preferred
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inventory or supply tracking
• Prior experience in a small or growing organization
• Advanced Excel skills
