Logistics Specialist

Nightwing is seeking a cleared and experienced Logistics Specialist in the Fairfax VA area in support of USG. The Logistics Specialist will act as liaisonbetween receiving and logistics to ensure orders for various customers are processedin a reasonable timeframe.Assist the receiving department with their functionsand provide them with informationto identify specific equipment’s upon arrival. Provide shipping and trackingservices tovarious organizations. Arrange for packing, transportation, and/or delivery of goods per the Customer’s request to worldwide OCONUS locations. Develop and implement improved methods of material handling, stock control, and packaging to promote efficient services. Required Skills Minimum of 4 years relevant experience or equivalent education and experience. Experience with the customer’s logistics/inventory practices, warehousing and inventoryprocedures as related to theirmaterial. Knowledgeable of security guidelines related to secure material movement. Forklift certified on various machines. Ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to make decisions, communicate status, follow through on actions in a timely manner. Desired Skills Knowledge of MSOffice applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and Project. Experience using Customer databases, tools for logistics and inventory management Experience with Sharepoint, ServiceNow (ASENT) Knowledge of DTSPO operations, policies and procedures.
