Certified Operating Room Technologist

Certification as a Surgical Tech is required. Experience in a variety of procedures including General OR, Gastric bypass, Gastric Sleeve, and Laparoscopic assisted cases is needed. Proficiency in Aortic Aneurysm repair and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair is essential. Experience with Carotid angioplasty and Endovascular Aneurysm Repair is required. Ability to assist in Femoral popliteal bypass graft and Laparoscopic assisted cases is necessary. Skills in Direct Laryngoscopy, Radical neck dissection, and Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy are important. Experience in Tracheostomy, Appendectomy, and Cholecystectomy is preferred. Proficiency with Colon resection (Open/LAP), Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), and Mastectomy is essential. Knowledge of Thyroidectomy (partial/total) and Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy) is required. Experience in Dilation & Curettage and Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures is necessary. Skills in Anterior cervical fusion, Cervical fusions, and Craniotomy are preferred. Experience with Laminectomy/discectomy and Spinal Fusion is required. Proficiency in Total hip and Total knee replacements is important. Experience with Robotic Surgery (Da Vinci Xi Surgical System) is beneficial. Skills in Mediastinoscopy, Cystoscopy, and Nephrectomy are essential. Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization processes, and Aseptic Technique is necessary. Experience with Sharps Safety and Specimen Handling is required. Familiarity with Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure is important. Call required: 6 shifts for each 8-week block, including weekends and holidays. Candidates will be required to float. Experience at a community hospital is preferred. Background check will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
