Work Environment

This role involves providing in-home physical therapy services, meaning your workplace is ever-changing as you engage with patients in various home settings throughout the Virginia Beach area. You will collaborate with caregivers and families within the patient's residence, allowing for a personalized and direct approach to rehabilitation. Your work schedule will be structured from Monday to Friday, with options to start your day between 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, concluding by 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients in their homes, focusing on recovery from injuries, diseases, or surgical interventions.
• Create and implement comprehensive treatment plans using a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and adaptive equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Track patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments and responses to inform any necessary adjustments in care plans.
• Conduct periodic reevaluations and adapt treatment strategies to reflect patients' evolving therapeutic needs and goals.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on rehabilitation practices and the use of assistive devices.
• Continuously enhance your professional knowledge by engaging in educational workshops and networking with peers in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be to assist individuals recovering from injuries and surgeries, as well as managing chronic conditions that affect mobility. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse groups of patients, ensuring their specific needs are met through individualized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diverse experience with at least two years in physical therapy, particularly in home health settings, is essential.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with a valid state license to practice.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for patient interaction and collaboration with care teams.
• Proficiency in computer skills and documentation is necessary for maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans.
• A flexible and agile approach is essential to adapt to the varying needs of home care!

Preferred Experience

While candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, we highly value a willingness to learn and an eagerness to collaborate. Compensation and Benefits
