We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
\n \nThis advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care.
\n \nOur Children’s Pediatric Epilepsy Program at Main Campus boasts a self-contained, nine-bed Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with features that include state-of-the-art all-digital, video-EEG equipment staffed by nurses and EEG technicians specializing in pediatric epilepsy. It has one of the largest, most comprehensive programs for the evaluation of medical and surgical treatment of epilepsy in children, managing more than 3,000 children with pediatric epilepsy in our outpatient clinics per year. Our unit evaluates more than 700 children annually and more than 100 children with severe conditions with epilepsy surgery, making Cleveland Clinic’s Surgical Epilepsy Program one of the foremost programs of its kind in the world.

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.
\n
Hours: 36 hours per week. Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 am—7:30 pm and 7:00 pm—7:30 am. Shifts rotate every 6 weeks. The schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
\n \nA caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
\n - \n
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
\n - \n
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
\n - \n
Notes and carries out the physician and nursing orders.
\n - \n
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
\n - \n
Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
\n - \n
Other duties as assigned.
\n
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
\n - \n
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain.
\n - \n
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
\n - \n
New graduate RN (or) and RN with less than one year of work experience
\n
Physical Requirements:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
\n - \n
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
\n - \n
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
\n - \n
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
\n - \n
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Pay Range
\n \nMinimum hourly: $35.50
\n \nMaximum hourly: $55.60

A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
