Medical Assistant I Certified- Urology Clinic (Day 40)

Job Overview Requisition #:668099 Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD 21287 Category: Allied Health/Clinical Professional. Schedule: Day Shift, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (Full Time). No nights or weekends. Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in the Urology Clinic provides consultation, evaluation, intervention, and diagnostic services for adults requiring procedures such as stent removal, cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, chemotherapy administration, and catheter care. The CMA works with oncology and radiation oncology specialists. Responsibilities Perform clinical tasks under the direct supervision of the physician during patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, exhibiting responsible behaviors. Report to the clinic manager for administrative supervision, staff development, and orientation. Maintain an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies. Assist in organizing efficient patient flow and ensure clinic environment safety. Shift Full Time (40 hours), Day Shift 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. No nights or weekends. Education and Training High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required. Licensure / Certification / Experience Completion of CMA certification (RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA, CMAA) required prior to hire. Valid BLS CPR certification required upon hire; acceptable from AHA, Red Cross, or military training network. Ideal candidate will have at least one year of CMA experience. Benefits and Compensation Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls.
