We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis. This role supports day-to-day accounting activities with a focus on payables, receivables, reconciliations, payroll processing, and routine monthly reporting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on bookkeeping experience, works comfortably with established systems and templates, and can keep financial records accurate and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process day-to-day accounts payable activities and maintain accurate records for operational accounting transactions.
• Support accounts receivable work by recording incoming payments and ensuring customer receipts are posted correctly.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card activity, and other transaction records to maintain ledger accuracy.
• Review and reconcile organizational transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Administer semimonthly payroll for a workforce of nearly 100 primarily part-time employees using Paylocity.
• Prepare recurring monthly reports by pulling data from NetSuite through existing report templates and validating the information for completeness.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and assist with routine bookkeeping tasks across multiple accounting functions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate financial processing and consistent recordkeeping across systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.• Practical experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and the ability to manage recurring payroll cycles accurately.
• Working knowledge of accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Paylocity, Salesforce, or similar business systems.
• Basic Excel skills for reviewing data, organizing records, and supporting monthly reporting tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet regular deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a dependable approach to maintaining accurate financial records.
