Staff Accountant (Fixed Assets)

Kforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger activities, and fixed asset accounting. This role offers strong exposure to month-end close, financial statement preparation, and cross-functional collaboration. The client offers salary and excellent benefits, 401(k), casual/jeans work environment. Position will be in the Saint Louis, MO area, full-time in the office, flexible with hours. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Prepare and assist with financial reports and statements
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Analyze balance sheet and P&L activity
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Review and validate financial transactions and documentation
- Support ad hoc projects and process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ year of accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables)
- Experience with general ledger and close processes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
