Sr. Manager, Operations Program Management, Amazon Leo Amazon, Seattle, WA Full‑time, Advanced (5–10 yrs), Negotiable salary Description As the Sr. Manager, TPM in the ProdOps Organization, you will lead the Operations Program Management (OPM) team in establishing, scaling, and sustaining the LEO Production System (LPS). You are the architect of the LPS, transforming LEO’s manufacturing operations from initial production (LRIP) to full rate production and efficiency. The role drives best‑in‑class manufacturing facilities that balance quality, efficiency, and scalability, serving as a central pillar alongside Value Stream Leaders (VSL) and Production Managers. Core Ownership

1. Design and implement the LPS operating model, developing tiered mechanisms, establishing KPIs, creating standardized work practices for 100+ production teams, and implementing real‑time production monitoring systems.
2. Support each VSL with program management functions; develop roadmaps, coordinate across 300 salaried and 1,100 hourly manufacturing FTEs and align with 2,000+ FTEs in supporting organizations.
3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives that amplify clusters of excellence across manufacturing through process implementation, technology adoption, people development, and data‑driven decision making.

Responsibilities Develop and implement roadmaps that support VSL goals. Establish and manage KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across VSLs. Drive implementation of continuous improvement processes and technology initiatives across manufacturing operations. Provide comprehensive support for tiered mechanisms, process documentation, and reporting. Proactively lead root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities that mitigate production risks. The role directly influences key metrics such as production rate achievement, quality (DPU, FPY), cycle time optimization, and labor efficiency. By implementing LPS and lean principles, you will impact P&L performance and deliver over $100M annual value by reducing Total Cost per Satellite. About the Team The OPM team defines the Leo Production System, focusing on reducing process variation, improving efficiency, enabling effective problem solving, and driving performance with Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act process across three pillars: Standardization, Implementation, and Adoption. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Operations Research, or related field. MBA or 7+ years of professional or military experience. 8+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience. 5+ years of leading large‑scale, technical or engineering programs with a record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion. 6+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.Experience coordinating projects across large organizations spanning hundreds or thousands of people. 4+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of process improvement, including Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma. Experience coaching senior leaders and managers with strong talent assessment skills. Experience in aviation regulatory compliance.
