Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, utilizing established engagement techniques.

• Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans tailored to clients’ assessment outcomes and goals.

• Provide individual therapy sessions addressing a variety of mental health challenges, employing evidence-based modalities.
\n
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships using active listening and empathy.

• Regularly reassess treatment plans to ensure they align with clients’ progress and changing needs.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including case histories and progress notes, ensuring timely documentation in our electronic health record systems.

• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.

• Engage with clients' families and other stakeholders as necessary to foster a supportive treatment environment.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute distress or emergencies.
\n
• Stay informed about advancements in therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

• Advocate for clients’ rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Woman's Counseling Center serves a diverse client base, including teenagers, adults, and couples, presenting a broad spectrum of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, trauma, and more. This role demands cultural competence and an ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the varying needs of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.

• Current active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania is required.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy to individuals and couples, with a focus on achieving therapeutic outcomes.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and the ability to complete assessments and documentation efficiently.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with a strong understanding of patient confidentiality and ethical standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with both children and adults is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms for delivering therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
