Facilities Maintenance Manager

Facilities Maintenance ManagerHyve Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Facilities Maintenance Manager with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment.The Facilities Maintenance Manager, maintains and oversees a company's grounds, building and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates. This manager also oversees the performance of many maintenance tasks that promote a clean and organized working environment for the building's employees, including:Manage and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and maintain safety and operational standards.Create detailed reports on maintenance activities, repairs, safety issues, and other facilities-related matters, while conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Manage contractors, service quotations, price negotiations, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance with all facilities and maintenance-related activities, budgets, and operational requirements.Delegate cleaning, facilities, and maintenance-related tasks to team members and stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of responsibilities.Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities and recycling programs, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.Preparing the building for changing weather conditions.Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facility needs.Ensure the facility is maintained in compliance with industry standards, OSHA regulations, 5S principles, environmental and safety policies, preventive maintenance programs, and company operational procedures.Job SpecificationsEducation and Work Experience5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent functions.Electrician experience is preferred but not fully required.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience with building operations growth and/or systems development.Mechanical knowledge and work experienceKnowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management.Strong procurement and negotiation skills.Demonstrable ability to use electrical recording tools to track and present operational metrics for power consumption, equipment and building maintenance expenditures.Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelinesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilityExcellent physical condition and flexibility to work extended shifts and Saturdays as requiredJob Complexity and SupervisionManages multiple shifts.Comfortable in a fast-moving business and team environmentExcellent communication skills—written and verbalAttention to detail and processSelf-starter and highly motivatedWorking ConditionsFlexibility to travel to other internal and external sites, as needed (Domestic & International).Fast paced work environmentCertain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.Physical DemandsExtensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.Employees must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by Company policy.The preceding statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
