Shift: 1st Shift

Summary:

The Material Handler I supports warehouse and production operations by handling the receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials. This entry-level role ensures materials are managed accurately, safely, and according to company procedures.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage
Stock materials in designated warehouse locations
Pick, pack, and stage materials for production or shipment
Perform basic inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse systems
Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
Transport materials using pallet jacks or basic material handling equipment
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to the supervisor

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of warehouse or material handling experience (preferred but often considered minimum exposure)
Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments
Familiarity with inventory control processes
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
