Team members contribute to exceptional guest experiences for both members and event clients Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or catering environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation. You will be responsible for maintaining food safety practices while working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation and presentation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the food service industry. Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods and equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with menu planning is a plus. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in catering is advantageous but not required. Position Classification and Expected Hours of Work: The assigned hours to this position vary each week according to event schedules but include working on holidays and weekends. Compensation/Pay Scale: Based on experience, starting at $18.50 per hour. Reports to: Chef on Duty. Manages and Supervises: This is not a supervisory position.
