This position is primarily remote, allowing you to provide critical mental health services to clients while maintaining a flexible work environment. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document each client's case from the initial consultation to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through standardized assessments and personal interactions.
\n
• Develop comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe environment for clients to share and heal.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to provide holistic care.
\n
• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding the treatment of clients who have been hospitalized.
\n
• Identify potential behaviors that may hinder recovery and develop strategies to prevent them.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance and tools to manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults who are facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client will be crucial in tailoring your approach and fostering effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment details.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health conditions, including underlying physical and emotional issues, along with an understanding of addiction disorders.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in an outpatient setting.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices put forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is highly preferred.

• Understanding the pharmacological effects of medications prescribed by other healthcare professionals.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
