Job Details: Level: Senior, Job Location: Delta Dental of Illinois - Naperville, IL 60563, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $200,000.00 - $400,000.00 Base+Commission/year, Assistant Vice President, Sales & Account Management Delta Dental of Illinois is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven sales leader to help lead our next chapter of growth. As Assistant Vice President, Sales & Account Management, you will guide the teams and partnerships responsible for new business, client retention, broker and consultant relationships, and market expansion. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who can turn strategy into action, inspire high-performing teams, strengthen trusted partnerships, and deliver measurable results in a competitive benefits marketplace. What You’ll Do Lead sales and account management strategy to drive profitable growth, retention, subscriber growth, and market share. Coach and develop sales, account management, and sales support leaders and team members. Build trusted executive-level relationships with brokers, consultants, general agents, strategic partners, and key clients. Use market insight, analytics, forecasting, and client feedback to inform business development, retention, pricing, product, and distribution strategies. Represent Delta Dental of Illinois at industry events, broker forums, consultant meetings, chambers, and community organizations. Qualifications: What You’ll Bring 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, account management, client relations, or business development, preferably in insurance, employee benefits, health care, dental, or a related field. 10+ years of experience leading or managing sales, account management, or sales support teams. Strong experience with relationship-based selling, consultative account management, broker and consultant distribution channels, renewals, retention, and revenue growth. Demonstrated ability to develop growth plans, manage performance against goals, and use data to identify opportunities, risks, and next steps. Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and directly related experience may be considered. Current Insurance Producer’s license, where required, or ability to obtain one within a specified period following hire. Why Delta Dental of Illinois?
