About the Position

Job Title: RN Level 2 - Long Term Care Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in long-term care License: RN License (New York only) Certifications: BLS (AHA only) Must-Have: - Two (2) years of experience in long-term care - RN License (New York only) - BLS (American Heart Association only) Description: Provide care for older adults in a long-term care environment. Work with a team consisting of 1 RN for 20 residents, 8-10 residents per LPN, and 4-6 residents per CNA. Residents will have geriatric long-term care needs with a focus on wound care, but no tracheostomy care required. No acute care needs will be present in the facility. Duties include direct patient care, assessments, documentation, and implementation of the nursing plan of care. Oversight of LPN and CNA colleagues is required. Medication administration is also part of the responsibilities. Excellent communication, flexibility, and delegation skills are highly desirable.
