You'll play a pivotal role in empowering students to gain functional academics, daily living proficiency, and personal independence as they prepare for life beyond graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction centered on functional academics, daily living, community engagement, and personal independence
• Manage and foster a nurturing, inclusive Life Skills classroom environment
• Oversee and provide guidance to classroom paraprofessionals
• Write, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs), transition plans, and data-driven functional goals
• Ensure successful transition planning, emphasizing post-secondary pathways and life readiness

Candidate Qualifications:

• Active State Special Education Teaching License
• Substantial recent experience managing a high school Life Skills or similar self-contained classroom
• Demonstrated expertise developing and executing transition plans and adaptive programming for high school students
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
