OverviewThe Maintenance Manager is a staff-level position reporting to the Plant Manager and is responsible for leading all maintenance, facilities, and reliability functions within the facility. This position is accountable for maximizing equipment uptime, asset reliability, and manufacturing performance through the effective planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. The Maintenance Manager directs maintenance personnel, manages maintenance systems and budgets, oversees capital and facility improvement projects, and partners closely with Production, Engineering, EHS, and Finance to support plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops team capabilities, and ensures compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Principle Functional Responsibilities: Direct the activities of the maintenance department to ensure that all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimal downtimeManage the predictive/preventative maintenance program to ensure uptime and improve reliability of equipmentManage and maintain all infrastructure systems for the facilityIdentify potential risks of infrastructure and equipment and work with the plant leadership team to obtain funding for new equipmentSupervise installation of new machines, check, and inspect them before putting into use, including updating all documentation (lock-out/tag-out procedures, PM plans, etc.)Ensure CMMS program is maintained and utilized to track workforce hours and costsCoordinate priority maintenance scheduling with production requirements in conjunction with production department managers and production scheduling departmentEnforce all safety procedures and environmental policies, partnering with EHS Manager to ensure all necessary training is up to dateEstablish contact with vendors as needed and take bids, approve bids, and supervise and inspect work to assure proper qualityBudget and control department costs in partnership with the Plant Controller to maintain necessary critical spares and facility upkeepPerform special projects as required, partnering with the Plant Manager and Process Engineering ManagerSupervision Scope: Responsible for the direction of all Maintenance Department associates. Position currently has one salaried Maintenance Supervisor, one Controls Engineer and nineteen hourly maintenance techniciansKey Requirements:A results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high-performance manufacturing environmentProven experience in Maintenance/Facilities Engineering in manufacturing arenaMust have good attention to details and able to manage the big pictureMust drive responsiveness to production problems through the Maintenance Department to allow the plant to hit production volumesMust be able to manage multiple complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day-in and day-out basisMust be able to motivate, communicate, and drive continuous improvementCritical thinker, with excellent analytical abilitiesGood written and oral communication skillsSolid planning, leadership, and administrative skillsHigh energy, demonstrates urgency and fast paceRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 10 years of experienceFacilities engineering experience requiredProject management experience preferredCompensation The typical base salary range for this role is $121,000.00 to $181,000.00.
