Staff Accountant

Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant. This position is hybrid located in Downtown LA, CA. Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + bonus + benefits Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, SOX compliance, and financial reporting. Review monthly financial packages from third‑party property management companies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance. Prepare month‑end journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting analyses. Maintain debt accounting, including reconciliations and reporting. Analyze financial results and budget‑to‑actual variances for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests. Resolve accounting issues, maintain standard operating procedures, and assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. 2+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP, including consolidations; real‑estate accounting experience preferred. CPA preferred; Big 4 experience is a plus. Experience with real‑estate or investment accounting and systems such as Yardi and FAS preferred. Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, improve processes, and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment while exercising sound judgment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
