Staff Accountant

WORK SITE STATUS: Onsite (5 days/week in the office). PAY RANGE: $75,000 to $90,000 base salary, plus benefits. JOB DESCRIPTION CV Resources, in partnership with our financial services client, seeks an experienced Staff Accountant to support the accounting department. This is a full-cycle accounting role covering month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can operate autonomously with high trust. This role will initially carry a heavy accounts payable workload, so direct full-cycle AP experience is important. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT GENERAL ACCOUNTING Provide general full-cycle accounting support, including month-end close and account reconciliations. Prepare and input journal entries and accruals. Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable. Collaborate with the finance team and receive hands‑on training and mentorship from a Staff Accountant on the team. Support ad‑hoc reports and projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or related field. Strong, principled general accounting skills. Direct, full-cycle accounts payable experience. SKILLS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT REQUIRED TECHNICAL Strong hands‑on experience with QuickBooks. INTERPERSONAL Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and committed to accuracy. Self‑starter who can operate autonomously with high trust. Results‑driven and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
