Now Hiring: Special Education Paraprofessional
ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in Redding, California that is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time opportunity supporting students in a Special Education classroom and helping create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Job Details
- Job Location: Redding, CA
- Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
- Start Date: ASAP
- Full/Part-Time: Full-Time
- Hours: 30 hours/week
- Pay: $22/hour
- Grade Levels: PreK–8th Grade
- Setting: Special Education Classroom
- Caseload: Students within a PreK–8th grade SPED setting
- Experience: Previous paraprofessional or school-based experience preferred, but not required
- Requirements: Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students in a Special Education classroom
- Assist students with academic, behavioral, and daily classroom activities
- Support students across PreK–8th grade as needed
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and diapering
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Follow directions and individualized support plans provided by the classroom teacher and school team
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student needs
- Provide encouragement and assistance to help students participate successfully in the school day
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred but not required
- Comfortable working with students with special needs
- Comfortable assisting with toileting and diapering
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
- Reliable, patient, and willing to support students with varying needs
- Must be able to pass a background check
