Copywriter Position

This position is a hybrid role and must be within driving distance of our Toledo, Detroit or Columbus offices and open to working in-person Tuesday-Thursday weekly (optional work from home on Monday and Friday).

And play a meaningful role in a growing agency. Copywriters work both collaboratively and independently to develop concepts and copy across projects, campaigns, channels, and formats. Backed by a strong foundation in language, they possess a sharp editorial sensibility, with the understanding that great writing is always in service of a strong idea. Copywriters have the confidence and curiosity to bring thinking to the table, and the talent to bring that thinking to life through words. They are building their conceptual range, deepening their brand voice fluency, and growing toward greater creative independence.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have 2-5 years of experience
• Be able to work hybrid in one of our office locations
• Have cocktail or liquor expertise, either in their portfolio or personal life
• Be fluent in social media work

Responsibilities:

• Concept and write across channels including broadcast, digital, social, print, and brand.
• Translate creative briefs and strategic direction into compelling, well-crafted copy that serves the idea and the brand.
• Partner closely with Art Directors and Designers to develop integrated concepts.
• Write across a range of brand voices, tones, and formats while maintaining a sharp editorial standard.
• Contribute ideas and conceptual thinking during ideation and team collaboration.
• Present work to internal teams with growing confidence and a clear point of view.
• Incorporate feedback constructively and use it to strengthen the work.
• Balance multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to craft and detail.

• Consistently delivering copy and ideas that serves the concept, fits the brand, and meets a high standard of craft across a range of projects and formats.
• Showing initiative in developing conceptual range and writing versatility beyond what individual projects require.
• Taking direction well and incorporating feedback to strengthen the work.
• Being a positive, collaborative presence that strengthens the work and team.
