The Supervisor Role Responsible for the routine communication of job assignments, training for specific product runs, and placement of line workers in assignments as required for the day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Before shift starts physically and visually inspect the assigned work area for any safety hazards. Plan, organize, and execute all production schedules. Conduct daily production changes. Comply with and follow USDA, OSHA, and all quality control standards. Write work orders and manage downtime of production lines. Perform all daily production reports. Maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Seek to improve the working environment for all employees, constituents and peers. Complete all hourly employee payroll, vacation, and PTO accurately and on time; communicate weekly to the Operations Manager and employees expecting to use vacation or PTO the following week. Maintain and strive to improve methods that support viable and attainable throughput on assigned lines/areas. Have knowledge of labor cost and the ability to explain labor costs in the area of responsibility. Meet yield expectations for the products produced; if not achieved, be able to explain why. Meet expectations of our HACCP plan and supporting programs. Complete all paperwork or digital reports accurately and disseminate them to appropriate personnel. Perform other duties as needed or assigned. The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. Minimum high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred. 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Goal oriented, confident, outgoing, able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment. Able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative. Strong computer skills, including Outlook. Ability to look up standard Excel documents. Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Working Conditions Duties performed in a cold/wet working environment. Demonstrate a flexible work schedule. Can bend, lift, stand, walk, stoop, reach above and below shoulders; lift 30 to 90 pounds intermittently and may assist with lifting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
