Educational Consultant -Per Diem - Sacramento, CA

Job Summary Part‑time Professional Learning Educational Consultant (Per Diem). Assist teachers, coach classroom staff, provide professional development, analyze data, and communicate consultatively with school leaders. The role is scheduled on an as‑needed basis, typically during normal school hours, with peak demand from August through October and January‑February. Responsibilities • Facilitate high‑quality professional development, training, and support for educators.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2+ years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development. Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards (or comparable state standards) for grades K‑8. Fluency with digital tools, including online assessments, and strong ability to discuss and apply data with educators. Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to design PD that meets learning objectives. Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Exceptional time‑management, organizational, and detail‑orientation skills. Proficient with Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and online meeting platforms (Zoom/WebEx). Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $30–$65/hour, depending on the type of work (e.g., at‑home vs. away‑from‑home). Compensation for PD delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses. Company‑provided laptop. Travel up to 70% required, including overnight stays; mileage reimbursement may be available. Per‑diem employees working an average of at least 30 hours per week may become eligible for medical coverage after the initial waiting period. All per‑diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time. Location & Travel Position based in Sacramento, California. Must live within 30 miles of the posting city or be willing to relocate.
