Operating Engineer Develop your engineering career at JLL! The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 AM - 4 PM Estimated compensation: $28.85 - $34.62 per hour What your day-to-day will look like: Complete assigned tasks that include painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by licensing requirements). Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests. Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks. Support on‑call or emergency response situations (if applicable). Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls. Comply with all safety procedures. Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. Other projects and tasks to be assigned. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry. Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable. Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance). Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall. Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive. Strong customer service skills. Location: On-site – Fort Worth, TX On‑site presence required. This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
