Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/L&D position requiring NBRC RRT certification and a minimum of 2 years NICU experience.

Details

• Children's hospital setting within a NICU/L&D unit
• Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds assigned upon arrival, subject to change based on facility need
• Floating required to PICU and some Peds Acute Care units
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend required
• Cerner charting used

Requirements

• NBRC RRT certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NRP certification required if placed in L&D (can obtain upon offer)
• PALS certification preferred
• Indiana state license required (license required if applicable)
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• L&D experience required
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required
• Candidates from level 1 adult facilities will be considered
• Cerner EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Primarily assigned to L&D with potential rotation to NICU, PICU, or Peds units based on facility needs
• All travelers will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Past IU Health perm or PRN employees must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Returning IU Health travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must take a break to reset eligibility: 90 days for out-of-state residents, 180 days for in-state residents
• Local candidates from Indiana are accepted
