Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in White Plains, NY, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility boasts modern equipment and treatment areas designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation, enabling you to provide the highest level of individualized care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the unique goals and needs of each patient.
• Administer skilled physical therapy interventions, addressing a variety of orthopedic conditions and working to enhance the motion and functionality of clients.
• Manage an effective caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring that each individual receives focused and personalized attention throughout their treatment journey.
• Implement cost-effective treatment options that prioritize improved mobility while aiming to reduce reliance on medications and unnecessary surgical procedures.
• Design and facilitate fitness and wellness-oriented programs, aimed at promoting long-term health and preventing future injuries.
• Utilize effective motivational strategies to engage clients during therapy sessions, enhancing their commitment to the recovery process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed, integrating care strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, communicate patient progress, and document care services in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population consists of individuals dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative care, sports injuries, chronic pain, and postural imbalances. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding patients through rehabilitation, improving their physical performance, and enabling them to enjoy a more active lifestyle. This role allows you to make a substantial difference in patients' lives by helping them regain their independence and achieving their health goals.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and active Physical Therapist License in New York state.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary issues with your professional license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise-based rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in an orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care based on evidence-based practices.
• Familiarity with administering specialized therapy techniques tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
