Our professional staff plays a key role in the firm's continued growth, and we are committed to a collaborative, supportive work environment.The RoleWe're seeking a full-time Legal Billing Specialist to join our client's high-volume Billing Department in Uniondale. You'll own timely, accurate, and guideline-compliant invoicing for a large portfolio of insurance defense matters.What You'll Do• Prepare and process monthly and quarterly client invoices• Review client and carrier billing guidelines and make sure every invoice complies• Submit and monitor e-billed invoices; resolve rejections, reductions, and discrepancies quickly• Research and resolve billing issues in partnership with partners, legal assistants, and billing staff• Track delayed payments and follow up with clients• Handle client/matter setup and troubleshoot time entry issues in e-billing platformsWhat You BringRequired• 2+ years of billing experience• Working knowledge of billing processes: invoice formatting, timekeeper allocations, paperless workflows• Hands-on experience with electronic billing platforms• Basic proficiency in Excel and Word• Accuracy and speed under deadline pressure• Strong communication skills with attorneys, staff, and client contacts• Availability for extended hours during billing cyclesPreferred• Law firm billing experience (highly preferred)• Experience with legal time & billing software• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or FinanceCompensation & Benefits$55,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative, friendly team.
