Job Description
As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol and Loss Prevention in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location where you will conduct routine patrols remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents support access control needs and deliver exceptional customer service and this people-first role you will bring integrity reliability and teamwork to each shift while helping create a welcoming environment for staff patients and visitors.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors patients staff and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a public healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings entrances waiting areas parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas assist with visitor direction and screening-related procedures and help to support orderly movement throughout the location.
- Communicate with hospital personnel public agencies and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters policy concerns and incidents requiring follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
