Our client who is a leading technology-enabled biopharmaceutical services company helping patients access and afford specialty and branded medications is looking for a Patient Support Specialist who will assist patients, physicians, and pharmacies with access to medication through copay assistance and reimbursement programs.

Type: Temp to Hire

Location: Whippany, NJ *FULLY ONSITE*

Shift: Multiple shifts available

Pay Range: $19 - $20.90/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Responds to inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies to support access to care, reimbursement needs, and copay assistance program navigation.
• Provides concierge-level "white glove" service, ensuring clear communication about program information, eligibility, and medication access while maintaining strong patient empathy.
• Processes claims as needed, manage escalations, and collaborates with internal teams such as Program Management, IT, and Contact Center units to resolve issues efficiently.
• Assists with administrative tasks such as mail sorting or claims processing when required.
• Helps promote medication adherence by ensuring patients understand program benefits and experience minimal friction in their prescription journey.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a call center environment, including understanding of call center operating metrics and performance management (preferred).
• Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and/or medical billing is a strong plus.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and pharmacies regarding access-to-care and copay assistance programs.
