Chief Financial Officer

A client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a community bank role in the Dallas, TX area. The CFO will oversee all accounting functions and serve as a senior financial leader, supporting growth and expansion by guiding the organization’s financial strategy and helping the executive team with forecasting and budgeting. Key responsibilities include directing enterprise financial activities such as reporting, planning, supervision, and investments; preparing or directing financial statements and regulatory reporting materials; overseeing annual tax return preparation through internal support or external accountants; chairing or serving on the bank’s ALCO committee; supervising staff across financial reporting and related operational areas; and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of organizational policies, federal and state directives, and accounting standards. The role also involves coordinating and conducting audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; managing disbursement requests in line with internal policies; monitoring reserves and other financial details to meet legal and regulatory obligations; evaluating staff performance and recommending personnel actions; leading financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities; developing internal control policies for budgeting and cash/credit management; analyzing financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement; and supporting staff training in budgeting and financial management.
