divh2Per Diem Unit Secretary/h2pButler Hospital is seeking candidates who can offer weekday/daytime coverage hours as a Per Diem Unit Secretary for our Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs (ambulatory programs)./ppResponsibilities:/pulliProviding coverage for our regularly staffed unit secretaries./liliObserving all general hospital and departmental policies, guiding principles, rules and regulations./liliMaintaining patient charts and electronic medical record for admissions, transfers and discharges./liliWorking within electronic system to ensure labs and other communications/orders are tended to in a timely manner./liliReporting needed repairs to related services./liliMaking emergency phone calls as directed./liliAnswering telephone and relaying messages accordingly./liliAdhering to Butler Hospitals service standards./liliManaging unit census/daily attendance and reporting attendance numbers daily./liliMaintaining supply orders for designated units./liliMaintaining supply of all necessary forms/packets/patient folders./liliManaging incoming faxes and telephone calls./liliAssisting patients locate appropriate clinical staff to get their needs addressed./liliPerforming various other clerical duties as needed on unit to support clinical staff, or as assigned by program manager, including data entry (ie BASIS or other scales), mailing patient information packets, calling patients to provide basic information./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliEducation: High school graduate or equivalent, including course in English, typing, spelling and arithmetic/liliTraining and Experience: On-the-job training in practices and procedures of the hospital and certain medical terminology. Must be able to perform duties under stress and in a busy environment.
