Job Description The Sous Chef at The Cardinal at North Hills partners with the Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations and create an exceptional restaurant-style dining experience for residents and guests at The Cardinal at North Hills. This hands‑on leadership role oversees food preparation, staff development, quality assurance, and food safety compliance while ensuring every meal reflects the community’s commitment to excellence, hospitality, and resident satisfaction. Schedule: Full Time | Monday – Friday – rotating weekends Pay Range: $25.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. based on experience* Paid Vacation / Sick Time / 7 Paid Holidays Excellent - Medical / Dental / Vision Benefits / 401K Free Meal each shift What will I do every day? Lead daily kitchen operations and food production. Supervise, coach, and mentor culinary associates. Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control. Maintain all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards. Assist with menu execution, inventory, ordering, scheduling, and cost control. Support catering, special events, and multiple dining venues. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. What will I need to be successful in this role? Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary experience, including leadership in upscale restaurants, hotels, country clubs, or senior living communities. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing culinary teams. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Commitment to hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Special Requirements/Certifications I may need? Culinary degree preferred.
