Passionate educators with expertise in supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing are invited to make an impact in a diverse Tennessee school district. This full-time contract opportunity is located in a vibrant suburb on the northern side of Nashville, offering the chance to collaborate across a dynamic K-12 environment. Service delivery is largely consultative and adapted to the evolving needs of each school’s Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) programs, including specialized hubs for Pre-K through Elementary and an emerging Middle School program.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Department of Education certification required
• Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Thorough understanding of consultative and direct service models for DHH students
• Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and multiple school sites
• TN fingerprint clearance needed prior to start date

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve K-12 students across hub campuses, with assignments tailored by district needs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design accessible learning experiences
• Deliver individual and group instruction, support communication development, and provide teacher consultation
• Document student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Ensure all services comply with state education and district guidelines
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices

This contract follows the school calendar, beginning early August and concluding at the end of May, with a consistent weekday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. Candidates will work onsite only, providing crucial expertise where it matters most.
