Clinical Sales Specialist, Structural Heart - Structural Interventions (Seattle, WA)

This role focuses on Abbott’s Amplatzer Congenital offering, which encompasses atrial septal defects (ASD), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), ventricular septal defects (VSD), and patent foramen ovale (PFO). The Clinical Specialist provides clinical and sales support through education of current and potential customers and procedure coverage within a defined region. The Clinical Specialist trains interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products and provides technical support to physicians during procedures. The role communicates product, clinical and market data to appropriate personnel and supports the company’s efforts to develop and implement product marketing strategies. Travel may exceed 50% depending on candidate experience. What You’ll Work On Collaborate with Territory Managers to provide case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients. Serve as the primary resource for clinical support in surgical coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products. Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products and inform them of the latest product, therapy, and technology developments in the industry. Engage in clinical, procedural and technical discussions and link data outcomes to key messaging. Meet with existing and potential clients (health care providers) to identify clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions. Demonstrate a strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types. Required Qualifications BS/BA or equivalent experience. 9+ years of related cardiovascular work experience; 3+ years of which is Structural Heart or Electrophysiology specific clinical experience. Ability to satisfy vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. Preferred Qualifications Degree in life sciences or medical training (RN, EMT, Perfusion, etc.). Strong clinical orientation, experience with interventional cardiology products, familiarity with echo cardiology and other indirect imaging.
