General Duties: Under general supervision, obtains two-dimensional ultrasonic images of the heart including 2D echocardiograms, 2D Doppler echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms and assists physicians in conducting transesophageal echocardiograms. In doing so, obtains pertinent patient data for interpretation by a board-certified cardiologist, explains purpose and duration of testing to the patient in order to allay fears, and provides excellent customer service. Obtains ultrasonic images from patients with complex health issues.

Qualifications: BS degree in Cytotechnology plus CT(ASCP) certification or equivalent Minimum of five years' experience with GYN and Non-GYN Cytology

Qualifications Preferred: Previous Cytology Supervisory experience.

Certificates Required: Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification by the National Certification Agency (NCA) or Health Education and Welfare (HEW)
