Coordinator 2 NES ARD Facilitators (Multiple Positions)

Location: Hattie Mae White Department: SPED Support Services Area: District Wide Contract Months: 12 Salary Range: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 Academic Year: 26-27 Job Summary The NES ARD Facilitator is responsible for coordinating and leading ARD meetings at the campus level to support effective student-centered special education decision-making. This position manages the ARD process from preparation through facilitation, ensuring that relevant data is reviewed and that eligibility placement, and service decisions appropriately address student needs while aligning with district expectations. Major Duties & Responsibilities Support the implementation of a district-wide approach to ARD facilitation by coordinating processes and promoting consistent, high-quality decision-making practices across campuses. Other duties as assigned. Education Bachelor's Degree Work Experience 1 to 3 years, previous experience as a Special Education case manager, Special Education Department Chairperson, Coordinator, or campus administrator. Skills and/or Required Licensing/Certification Software: Microsoft Office Certifications/Licensure: none specified Equipment: Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier) Leadership Responsibilities Level 1 – No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff. Work Complexity / Independent Judgment Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis. Budget Authority No budget development activity is required. Problem Solving Decisions are made on routine matters affecting few individuals and usually within the confines of the job's own department. Specific job activities and results are typically reviewed closely. There are limited requirements for developing new ideas or changes in methods, procedures, or services. Impact of Decisions Decisions have moderate impact on the facility/department or division, producing efficiencies or delays, and contributing to financial gain or expense. Errors may be serious, usually not subject to direct verification or check, causing losses such as improper cost calculations, overpayment, or improper utilization of labor, materials, or equipment. Effects are usually confined to the organization itself and are short term. Communication / Interactions Information sharing – gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instructions, and reporting results. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor, and coworkers in own and other departments. Customer Relationships Takes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries, and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow‑up. May handle escalated issues passed on from coworkers or subordinates. Working / Environmental Conditions Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
