We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines are essential. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring payroll tasks are completed efficiently and on time. The ideal candidate can step into the role quickly, adapt to established processes with minimal training, and confidently manage responsibilities in a deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and deadlines
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain payroll records and documentation
• Work efficiently under short timelines and urgent processing cycles

These are the qualifications that matter.

• 2-5 years of payroll experience (5+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and systems
• Ability to handle payroll on short notice with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to pass background screening and start quickly
• Experience in higher education environment a plus
