About the Company:

Our client is a boutique advisory firm specializing in tax strategies designed for high-income individuals earning $500K or more annually. Their mission goes beyond traditional financial services by helping clients redirect tax liabilities into charitable contributions and clean energy investments, ultimately creating a net positive impact on both personal wealth and the world. Backed by sophisticated strategies and a commitment to ethical financial practices, our client offers a compelling and results-driven service that regularly saves clients between 30K–500K on their taxes.

What You'll Own

You'll serve as the primary strategic advisor for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, guiding them from onboarding through year-end planning and filing season.

That means:

• Translating tax plans into concrete execution calendars and making sure every action gets completed

• Leading recurring client planning calls, presenting projections, and making clear recommendations

• Advising on entity structuring, S-corps and partnerships, liquidity events, equity compensation, real estate transactions, charitable planning, retirement and Roth strategies, estimated taxes, and cash-flow planning

• Coordinating with attorneys, appraisers, investment sponsors, lenders, insurance professionals, and other specialist partners when needed

• Developing deep fluency across our tax strategy catalog and understanding the mechanics and risks behind each strategy

• Identifying when a strategy doesn't fit a client's situation and recommending a better path

• Coordinating with our tax preparation and client service teams so planning decisions are executed correctly

• Maintaining clear client decisions, status, and next steps in Karbon

• Helping us determine what should be automated, templated, delegated, or kept in the hands of a senior advisor

You'll also act as a technical resource for the sales team, joining select prospect calls, validating strategies, helping scope engagements, and creating resources that make the team more effective.

Where This Role Can Go

We're looking for someone capable of growing beyond individual client delivery.

As the firm scales, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead the advisory and tax delivery team, establish standards and review cadences, mentor new hires, and take increasing ownership of client retention, delivery quality, and advisory margins.

You'll also become a senior counterpart to the CEO on service design, firm strategy, and partner selection.

Who We're Looking For

• Have deep U.S. tax planning and advisory experience

• Are comfortable advising high-net-worth clients directly

• Can translate complex tax concepts into clear, confident recommendations

• Understand entity structuring, basis, passive activity and at-risk rules, material participation, recapture, and related planning considerations

• Think beyond tax preparation and understand how planning decisions interact with investments, legal structures, real estate, and cash flow

• Know when you have the answer and when the right move is bringing in a specialist

• Are highly organized and capable of driving multiple stakeholders toward a deadline

• Take ownership rather than waiting for someone else to move the process forward

• Want to help build systems, processes, and eventually a high-performing team

We're looking for someone who wants to become a trusted strategic advisor to sophisticated clients while helping build the advisory function of a growing firm.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with real estate tax strategies or investor clients
• 3+ years of experience in tax advisory/planning
• Background or skills in sales, marketing, or content collaboration

Work Schedule:

• Full-time (40 hours/week)
• 9am - 6pm PST (with 1 hour of break within)
