Field Sales Specialist - Septic Systems

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative for a key role within our company. This is a customer-facing, field-based position that requires professionalism, strong sales ability, and a willingness to learn the technical side of septic systems. ** Schedule ** Monday through Friday Start time: 6:45 AM End time varies daily (typically between 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM) Hours may vary depending on workload and customer needs ** Position Overview ** As an Outside Sales Representative, you will travel daily to customers’ homes to evaluate septic tanks and drain fields. You will assess system conditions, gather field data, prepare estimates, and present bids to customers with the goal of closing sales. This is a customer-driven and sales-focused position that requires confidence, patience, and strong communication skills. ** Responsibilities ** Visit residential properties to evaluate septic tanks and drainfields Diagnose failing systems and recommend solutions Prepare and present detailed estimates for tank replacements and drainfield repairs Bid projects and work to successfully close sales Use field tools such as augers and shovels to: * Identify soil types Locate tank lids and drain fields Evaluate site conditions Learn and understand: * Soil classifications Water tables System sizing and layout requirements Measure areas and create basic site drawings Maintain ownership of the customer relationship from estimate through sale Represent the company professionally in appearance and communication
