What You'll Do
- Perform gross examinations and microscopic analysis of tissue specimens
- Evaluate surgical margins and tumor staging
- Conduct cytology assessments, including fine needle aspirations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in tumor boards
- Verify diagnostic results and provide expert consultation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to legal and institutional policies
- Support administrative tasks related to laboratory operations
What You Need
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license in California
- MD or DO degree and Board Certified in Pathology (anatomic and clinical)
- At least 5 years of independent clinical pathology practice
- Active certifications and relevant subspecialty certifications preferred but not required
About the Assignment
This role involves providing diagnostic pathology services at a prominent San Diego facility specializing in tissue and cytology analysis. The position supports hospital-based lab operations and plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses for patient care.
