Job ID: senior-architectural-technologist-dublinSalary: 75,000 - 85,000Company: LJB & CoSenior Architectural Technologist (Dublin) 75,000 - 85,000 + Bonus + Package We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to take a lead technical role within a busy architectural team delivering complex projects, with a strong focus on Irish public sector work, particularly Department of Education projects.This role suits someone highly confident in Revit, technically strong across all project stages, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring technical quality, compliance, and successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical delivery of projects from design development through constructionProduce, manage, and coordinate high-quality Revit models and detailed technical drawingsDeliver projects in line with Department of Education guidelines, TGDs, and room data requirementsEnsure full compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, fire safety, accessibility, and planning requirementsCoordinate with design team members, assigned certifiers, contractors, and statutory bodiesContribute to project programmes, technical reviews, and QA processesIdentify and manage technical risks, providing practical solutionsApply sustainability, decarbonisation, and low-energy design principlesMentor junior technologists and promote technical best practiceAct in roles such as Employer’s Representative and/or Assigned Certifier where requiredEssential Experience & Skills10+ years’ experience in architectural technology or a related technical roleAdvanced proficiency in Revit (essential)Strong experience delivering Department of Education and/or public sector projectsExcellent technical detailing skills across all RIBA / RIAI stagesIn-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations and compliance proceduresAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication and coordination skillsExperience with Public Works Contracts and Employer’s Representative role beneficialDesirable ExperienceKnowledge of GCCC, RIAI, or similar Irish contract formsExperience on school, education, or campus-style developmentsUnderstanding of NZEB, low-carbon design, and decarbonisation strategiesExperience on refurbishment, retrofit, or live-building projectsPrevious mentoring or technical leadership experienceQualificationsDegree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology or a related disciplineOngoing commitment to professional development
