Make a meaningful difference in the lives of high school students by supporting their emotional and social wellbeing in an onsite, full-time contract role covering maternity leave. This opportunity is available immediately and extends through January 2027, working with a diverse caseload of approximately 35 students in grades 9-12 (ages 14-18). Your expertise as a certified school social worker will empower students to overcome challenges, access resources, and reach their fullest potential within an educational environment committed to holistic development. Key Qualifications: Current Massachusetts School Social Worker certificate required Experience serving adolescents in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school atmosphere Core Responsibilities: Provide direct social-emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention to students Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create effective support plans Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies that promote student success Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies Assist with referrals and coordination of services for students requiring additional resources Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Contribute to ongoing school initiatives to promote mental health and wellness Enjoy competitive weekly pay, comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
