Principal Risk Specialist | Small Business Bank – Capital One As a Principal Risk Specialist in the Retail Bank Risk Office, you’ll partner with operations, product, technology and business partners to identify, assess and mitigate risks for Small Business Bank customers. Responsibilities Risk Consulting – Provide advice and guidance to line of business leaders on risks impacting the Small Business Bank. Client Management – Develop and leverage key relationships with SBB to enable collaboration across the enterprise. Issues Management – Identify, track and mitigate risk events; coordinate remediation activities. Governance – Enhance control and governance, leading process‑level change control to ensure risks are assessed and documented. Audit Management – Support SBB during audits and key risk mitigation and remediation activities. At least 2 years of Small Business Bank or related risk management experience. At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience leading cross‑functional projects and programs. 3+ years of process management experience. Compensation The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are: McLean, VA: $120,800 – $137,900 Richmond, VA: $109,900 – $125,400 Salary ranges are linked to the location and actual offers will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
