Global Director, Finance Shared Services

The Global Director Finance Shared Services leads, modernizes, and scales central financial operations across the organization. This role is specifically responsible for driving a strategic program to centralize and consolidate all global shared service operations into a single location hub. In addition to driving efficiency and maintaining strong internal controls, this leader will oversee core transactional functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit, Cash Application and supports Cash Management. This position coordinates global process alignment, multi-regional migrations, change management, and cross-border operational standardization across international business units. Key Responsibilities Global Shared Services Consolidation & Migration Strategy Design and execute the multi-phase strategy to migrate regional and decentralized finance operations into a single centralized global shared services hub. Build standardized service transition protocols, playbook frameworks, and knowledge transfer procedures to ensure seamless operational cutovers without business interruption. Manage stakeholder expectations and establish global change management initiatives to overcome regional resistance and align operations with the central hub model. Operational & Service Delivery Oversee end-to-end transactional finance operations - specifically Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit, Cash Application, and Cash Management - to ensure accuracy and timely operational cycles. Drive aggressive Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) performance to minimize DSO, optimize DPO, and maximize free cash flow (FCF). Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all shared services functions to serve global operations across multiple time zones. Drive standard global financial policies, procedures, and continuous process improvements that accommodate multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional legal requirements. Digital Transformation & Process Optimization Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP systems and automation tools (e.g., OCR, AI process automation, automated reconciliation, and auto-cash application tools) to support high-volume centralized operations. Reduce operational friction by standardizing workflows and eliminating redundant, manual processes inherited from legacy regional operations. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Enforce robust internal controls (SOX-lite compliance where applicable) and ensure audit readiness across shared services functions. Partner with internal/external audit teams to address findings and mitigate operational risk across diverse international regulatory frameworks (i.e., cross-border trade, credit risk management, and tax compliance). Team Building & Global Stakeholder Management Recruit, build, and mentor a high-performing, centralized shared services team at the primary hub location, fostering a solid operational culture. Collaborate with regional business unit leaders to align shared services impact with broader business objectives while serving as the central point of contact for shared services operations across all global markets. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required. Experience: 7-10+ years of progressive shared services/accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment. Private Equity Exposure: Proven track record working within a PE-backed portfolio company, supporting sponsor value creation plans, rapid scaling, and exit preparations. Consolidation Leadership: Proven track record of executing global site consolidations, regional-to-hub migrations, and large-scale organizational change management across international entities. Core Functional Expertise: Deep expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations, including direct oversight of Billing, Credit management, Cash Application, and Accounts Payable/Receivable. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of enterprise ERP systems (i.e., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday) and experience leading operational system/process transformations. Operational & Global Expertise: Proven track record in process automation, SLA/KPI management, and scaling multi-entity operations, paired with expertise in multi-currency transactions and international credit/billing practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
