Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dietary Cook to join our team at West Chicago Living and Rehab Center LLC in Wheaton, IL. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving delicious and nutritious meals to our residents and staff. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations

• Follow written and oral instructions to ensure the preparation of foods, liquids, and dietary methods meet high standards

• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food service and sanitation practices

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards

• Meet daily production targets and manage time effectively to ensure timely meal service

• Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor and Administrator to ensure smooth operations and achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1 year of experience as a cook in a healthcare setting or similar environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

• Food service and sanitation license and/or certification

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
