Central Storeroom Clerk

Park Nicollet is hiring for a full-time Central Storeroom Clerk at Methodist hospital.

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Responsible for the distribution processes of incoming shipments associated with receiving functions and/or the inventory and distribution processes associated with the Central Storeroom functions. Employees may need to transport supplies between buildings via company owned vehicles. A clean driving record is required, as outlined in the Park Nicollet motor vehicle criteria. Maintain an orderly flow of materials to all customers in a timely manner. This position may be scheduled for multiple rotating shifts, holidays and weekends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to set up and/or maintain an Inventory System.

  • Ability to input and maintain accurate inventory management information.

  • Ability to read, write, perform simple mathematics.

  • Ability to grasp the necessary skills to operate the materials management computer system.

  • Ability to maintain patience, use mature judgment and be courteous to customers.

  • Ability to follow established work schedules.

  • Ability to push/ pull without difficulty.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. (20%) – Receive supplies, unload trucks and sign packing lists for incoming freight, check merchandise for damage and quantities received.

2. (5%) – Assist in packaging, shipping and processing of outgoing merchandise.

3. (70%) – Accurately perform data entry on merchandise, deliver to correct locations, via cart. Obtain signature as proof of delivery and sign off on receiving document at the time of delivery.

4. (5%) – Keep the receiving area and the dock clean and orderly & stack pallets.

5. (30%) – Fill supply requisitions and Kanban cards according to stock code number and issuing unit of measure. Deliver filled orders to ordering locations via cart according to the established schedule.

6. (10%) – Perform computer functions as required.

7. (10%) – Collect and clean pumps and other equipment from user Department as needed.

8. (40%) – As needed, fill patient and equipment supply orders.

9. (5%) – Keep Storeroom area clean and orderly.

10. (5%) – Keep Central Storeroom area clean and orderly.

11. (5%) – Performs other duties as assigned
